Dr. Brij Sharma & his helper Amit Kumar was arrested

                Dr. Brij Sharma & his helper Amit Kumar was arrested today, on the orders of Distt. Magistrate Smt. Neelam Pardeep Kasni for allegedly determining sex ratio of woman by the Karnal Police.  The police team was headed by D.S.P. Surinder Pal Singh & other staff. The main charge against the Dr. Brij Sharma was that he was running Ultrasound Clinic illegally in an un-authorized manner and in a rented house.

                According to reliable sources that a team comprising of D.S.P. Surinder Pal Singh and Civil Surgeon Vandana Bhatia along with other paraphernalia’s was constituted by the Distt. Administration to conduct a secret raid to apprehend the  Dr. and others. During the raid it was found that helper Amit Kumar was carrying a bag containing Ultrasound Machine. It was also found that the requisite machine and other material needed for determining the gender was kept in a private house. The authorities immediately sealed the portable ultrasound machine.

                The Civil Surgeon Dr. Vandana Bhatia told that a woman named Neelam was brought in the clinic from Kaithal by the Agent Amit Kumar for examination of gender. She told that Smt. Neelam was a mother of one and a half years girl and she is at present pregnant by three months. Mr. Amit Kumar Agent also hails from Kaithal.

                It is learnt that Dr. Brij Sharma was running  an Ultrasound Center earlier at Karnal in the name of Karnal Ultrasound just opposite Civil Hospital here. Following a number of irregularities his clinic was sealed by Health authorities in February 2011 also.
